This book can totally be read as a standalone, but reading the rest of the series adds so much more to the book experience. Nick is the older brother of Felicity, wife of Ares from Beauty and the Beefcake (and half of the Berger Twins). Kami is Felicity’s best friend. Nick has always been an arrogant ass, but with an easy charm that enables him to get away with almost anything. Kami is a veterinarian, and the person Nick calls for help cleaning up his messes. When he forgets her birthday, she realizes her feelings are one-sided and she is DONE with him. That’s the wakeup call Nick needs to realize how he feels.
Add in an adorable baby cow named Sugarbear, three dogs, some penguins, and a lot of pranks, love, friendship, and family, and you have a recipe for a hilarious book with so much heart.
