USA TODAY Bestselling Author Claudia Burgoa presents an engaging love story full of mistaken identity, drunk texts, and hysterical mishaps.

Sex talk is my job. I’m an influencer. I run a popular blog where I give all kinds of dating tips, and girls all over the world thank me for helping them with their love lives.

I wish I could follow my own advice because my love life is totally dead. I just drunk texted my ex-boyfriend… except, I didn’t. That text ended up going to someone else.

Oops.

This new relationship is almost picture-perfect, just like my online life. I guess I give good…text.
He doesn’t have to put up with my colorful personality–as my hot next-door neighbor describes me. Or my messy schedule.
This long-distance relationship is the best thing that’s happened to me and I plan to keep it that way.

Until we agree to meet up, and I’m freaking out.
When he meets the real me, will he hate me forever?
Or will we be one day telling our grandkids about that wrong text, right love?

Wrong Text, Right Love is a cute rom-com of two secret lovers who prepare to risk it all for love. Claudia Burgoa brings the flirty fun in this cozy novel of risking it all for romance.

My review:

This book was SO good! I confess I wasn’t sure how much I’d love it to begin with, since the initial description sounded a lot like another book I loved.  Text sent to the wrong number turns into more. But I should have known better. Both authors are among my favorites and both have very different styles. The stories aren’t remotely similar.

Persy (Persephone) lives in the public eye. She is a certified therapist who also has a strong social media side to her career, a popular podcast, and a multibook deal. She moves in next door to Chad, stepbrother of her agent and oldest friend’s husband. They clash like oil and water – he is cold and likes things a certain way, she is loud and colorful. She is very close with her large family, he tolerates his small one. They slowly strike up a friendship and she sees the side he tries to hide behind his cold, mistrusting demeanor. He gets to know the real her she doesn’t show on camera.  Then there is the text friendship. Persy relishes being able to get to know someone without that person knowing her public persona. As her relationships with both men grow, she has to make a choice – fantasy guy who seems perfect for her, or reality next door who is adamantly against relationships?

I loved the characters in this book. Persy’s family is fantastic (except for Callie, but I have hopes for her. She’s a true product of her upbringing). Chad/Ford is the perfect growly guy with the hidden heart of gold. The bad dates were hilarious. And the ending? Swoonworthy.

Cheesy On The Eyes by Teagan Hunter

Dating is hard. Dating in a small town? Impossible.

Leave it to my little brother to come back home announcing he knocked up his fiancée and the wedding has been moved…to next month.

When he tries to set me up with one of his football buddies, I tell him I’ll be bringing my own plus-one.

Only problem? I’m hopelessly single.

Enter Sullivan Scott, AKA my hero.

We strike a deal: he’ll pretend to be my boyfriend, and I’ll use my mechanic skills to help him fix his boat. That’s it. No funny business, and definitely no feelings involved.

Sully’s quiet and reserved, and I’ve been told I’m too much to handle on a good day. We’re opposites, and neither of us is looking for anything serious.

I’m certain we can keep this strictly platonic…

My review:

We have been waiting for what seems like forever for Sully’s book, and it does not disappoint! There is so much I loved about this one. It is definitely my favorite of the Slice series.
Thea is amazing. She is a tiny, adorable, 100% unfiltered mechanic who is succeeding in a male dominated industry. She’s been burned, though, and afraid to catch feelings again and get her heart broken again. Sully is just perfection. Three books of buildup were absolutely worth the payout here. I adored their relationship, their banter, and their chemistry. These two absolutely belong together. And while this is a standalone, each couple from the previous four books (and Simon, owner of Slice) appear often so there is a lot of fun interaction, dialogue, and shenanigans involved. But don’t worry, if for some wild reason you haven’t read the other books you absolutely won’t feel lost or like you’re missing something in this one. Although if you loved the novella A Slice of Love and want more Frankie and Jonas, Thea is Jonas’s sister and they are both in this book. Score!! I also loved Thea’s relationship with her family, both with her parents and with her brother. As an aside, I absolutely adore that lots of the parents in this author’s books have long marriages and they are still shown as happily in love and having healthy romantic lives.

I tried to pick out lines to highlight, but I couldn’t narrow it down and would basically be copying and pasting the entire book so instead I’ll just drop two of my favorite moments that made me laugh out loud: rock stuffed teddy bears, and chapter 13. Yes, the whole chapter. You will understand when you read this.

About the author:

TeaganI’m a Missouri-raised gal, but currently live in South Carolina with my Marine veteran husband. I spend my days begging him for a cat, and I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies.
