third book in the BTU Alumni series and can be read as a stand-alone. This book
features a Christmas-loving hot mess of a baker, an alpha-dirty-talking MMA
fighter, and the best group of friends ever (even if they don’t know how to
mind their own business). HEA guaranteed—being on Santa’s Nice List…not so
This series is so fun. While they can all be read as standalones – there are no cliffhangers and each book is the story of one couple – all the characters of the series are interconnected. Vince is the brother to Rocky of Tap Out. Holly is a new character for us, a childhood friend of Kyle from Espresso Patronum. (BTW this series has the absolute best coffee shop concept around and I WISH I could go there in real life!)
Holly has escaped her past and is staying with her childhood best friend Kyle and his husband Lyle, and putting her baking skills to good use in their coffee shop. Vince is on a mission to satisfy his pregnant sister’s cravings and get on her good side, and is blown away by the baker behind the treats. Their attraction to each other is undeniable, but Holly is still afraid of something. Slowly Vince wins her trust and these two are beautiful together.
I want a real life Coven. Can we make that happen, people? This group of women Gets. Stuff. Done. and it’s inspiring. And a little scary. Holly makes a perfect addition to the group.
I loved seeing big, tough guy Vince turn into a ball of cookie dough over Holly. It’s adorable when the giants fall. And even better is that he owns the heck out of it. He isn’t ashamed at all of how he feels, nor does he try to hide it from anyone. He is crazy about Holly and doesn’t care who knows it. Seeing a big, bad, UFC fighter show emotions like that is a wonderful example of positive masculinity. That is missing from so many romance novels.
I could go on, but just read this book. Read the entire series. Each book keeps getting better and better.
