My review:
This was SUCH a fun book! I’ve been looking forward to it since learning about it, since we had a brief encounter with Cameron and Jude in Faking Mr Right (and Everly and Shepherd make a very brief appearance in this book when their paths cross in the storyline – it was great to get the outsider’s take on their Big Moment).
Technically the Bluewater Billionaires books are standalones, but you definitely want to read all four of them. Each of the authors writing them are insanely talented. Just a quick aside – I adore that the authors themselves are written into the books (unnamed of course) and I keep trying to figure out who is who. Cameron, like the other Bluewater Billionaires, is a brilliant, driven, powerful woman. She rose through the ranks to lead an aerospace company and loves her job. Her friends are concerned after an attempted mugging, however, and hire Derek’s friend Jude (Derek and Emily are the subjects of book 1, The Price Of Scandal). Cameron insists she doesn’t need security, but is soon proven wrong. These two make a deliciously fun couple. They try to resist their mutual attraction and their teasing of each other is hilarious. They have incredible chemistry and a trust that is hard to come by. I hated to reach the end of this book, but I’m looking forward to reading the next two when they are released. |
