My review:

After Abby comes home to a Dear Jane letter on her front door, she leaves Florida for Denver where her cousin lives. She is hired as a first grade teacher at a local private elementary school. Brennan is forced by his family to take over his grandmother’s volunteer duties at the school after an intervention into his partying, playboy ways. He tries to skate by but Abby isn’t having that. She calls him out on day one (excerpt below). Once they stop fighting their attraction is undeniable, but Abby is on a self-imposed man fast for 74 days and feels strongly about completing it.

I really enjoyed this book. I especially loved it when Brennen finds out about Abby’s fast, the reasons behind it, and the meaning of 74 he is all in to help her reach her goals. And the way he steps up and helps her class is awesome. Their chemistry is off the charts, but it’s refreshing to read about a couple who spends time together trying new things and getting to know each other.

One thing I love about Krista Sandor books is that her characters deal with heavy issues, but yet they are not heavy books. Both Abby and Brennen had major things in their pasts but they are not angsty characters at all. Abby is a survivor who does what needs to be done and is determined to live her best life. Brennen realized that his partying was avoiding his issue but he was able to deal with it in a healthy way.

I loved this book and can’t wait to read the books for the other brothers.

Heat rose to Abby’s cheeks. She’d had enough. She plucked the tiny glue stick from Brennen’s large hand and jabbed it into his chest.

“One, two, three! Eyes on me!” she said, in the meanest voice she’d ever used to recite that common teachers’ prompt.
The man cocked his head to the side and met her gaze.
She held the glue stick in place. “I don’t care who you are. You could be the King of
His lips quirked into a smirk. “Nope, that doesn’t exist.”
Anger surged through her. “You could be the Duke of Denver.”
“Still a no.”
She jabbed the glue stick a fraction harder. “Maybe you can understand this? In my
classroom, I am the CEO. I am the B, O, double S, boss. And what I say goes.”
His eyes went wide, and he stared at her. It wasn’t the aloof stare he’d given her earlier. No, this look brimmed with astonishment. She could feel the heat of
him. Sense every muscle in his body tensing like a predator deciding if he wanted to pounce. Inches apart, he held her gaze. The tiny glue stick, the only thing separating them. Her body zinged, and she wasn’t sure if it was from laying down the law or that if she pushed up onto her toes and he bent down, their lips would be mere millimeters apart.

Author Bio
If there’s one thing Krista Sandor knows for sure, it’s that romance saved her. After she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2015, her world turned upside down. During those difficult first days, her dear friend sent her a romance novel. That kind gesture provided the escape she needed and ignited her love of the genre. Inspired by the strong heroines and happily ever afters, Krista decided to write her own romance series. Today, she is an MS Warrior and living life to the fullest. When she’s not writing, you can find Krista running 5Ks and chasing after her growing boys in her adopted home of Denver, Colorado.
